Northwest Driving Academy LLC located in Bossier City, LA is a State of Louisiana Approved and Certified Provider of Teen Driver Permit Classes, Adult Pre-License and Defensive Driving Classes, as well as Road Skills Tests.
We are locally owned and operated. This is OUR community and we are committed to "Preparing Northwest Louisiana Drivers to be SAFE Drivers". Adult and Teen learners, and their parents and guardians, alike can rest assured that our driver education classroom and behind-the-wheel content, as well as our Defensive Driving classes are based on the latest requirements of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, the Louisiana Court System (Article 892.1 and 894), and standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Enrolling a teen in our Teen Permit Course?
We are parents too...We will train your teen the way YOU would train your teen! We will not rush through the Program or say we provided training we really didn't provide. Students will receive adequate classroom and behind-the-wheel training to equip them to be Safe drivers. They deserve it!
About the Owner:
Kathy Dillard, BSN, RN has taught Health and Safety courses in the Northwest Louisiana area for nearly 20 years. She now brings her years of experience and dedication to the area of Driver Education and is committed to improving the health and safety of the Northwest Louisiana community. Northwest Driving Academy LLC is dedicated to offering superior, student-focused, driver education to Teens and Adults residing in Bossier City, Shreveport, and the surrounding cities and parishes. Mrs. Dillard's Professional Philosophy is "Never cut corners because lives matter".

We are located just off Benton Rd in the former location of Christ Fit gym. Our driveway is in front of Jackson Insurance/Auto Title Agent. (Look for our Sign in front of Advanced AC and Heating). Our Vivian location is across from Citizen's Bank (same parking lot, facing the drive through)

- Attended a Certified Driving Course provided by Instructor with 30 plus years experience as Teen Driver Education instructor
- Received Behind-the-Wheel training provided by State instructor
- Received and excelled in Third-Party-Tester training and Certification
- Received instruction in Principles of Adult and Teen learning
Additionally NW Driving Academy's Owner and Instructors have:
- Passed State and Federal background checks
